Hattie Houser is an multidisciplinary artist working in improvisation, performance, carpentry, textiles, and welding. Their work investigates how improvisation and performance can be research sites for creating more attentive, present, and caring relationships. Hattie was a 2020 See Chicago Dance critical writing fellow and a 2019 Von Dreden Stacey fellow through the University of Colorado’s Geography Department. Hattie holds a BFA in Dance and a BA in critical Geography from the University of Colorado-Boulder. They are currently working towards their Welding and Fabrication certification through Pima Community College.
